Advice about fixing keyless entry system issues for my 2009 VW Passat Komfort

What is your question?

My keyless remote will lock the car doors, open the trunk and the "panic" button sets off the alarm, but it won't unlock the car doors. I'm looking for possible causes of this and solutions. Both of my remotes work in the ignition and the three buttons I just mentioned work fine. Neither will "unlock" the car doors.
