I turned my car off now it won't start

I got into my car to leave for leave it started right up I went to leave and realized that I forgotten something in the house so I put the car in park turned it off and when I came back out I put the key in and it won't start. It don't do anything

Make certain the shifter is fully engaged in the PARK position - - can try starting engine with shifter in neutral.
