Cylinders 1 2 3 are misfiring and the engine light is on I reset it now fine

You either have some bad ignition coils, spark plugs, fuel injectors or lack of compression in 3 cylinders. If you want to make a repair with out any diagnosis, I would replace all 4 ignition coils. Spark plugs are due for replacement every 40,000 miles. If due, replace them too.

I had same problem. I started by replacing spark plugs [later found out you need genuine VW spark plugs-very particular, I used Platinum pre-gapped], then coil wires coil packs, and added a solution to oil for air compression.
