when trying to indicate a direction w/ my directional, my hazard lights come on.

i was told to replace the hazard triangle button. Replaced button and problem still exist... Also, my check engine light is on and my abs light. Just replaced the rotors, brakes, battery and front passenger side axle and new tires all the way around. went to get the car inspected and was told that the car was not communicating w/their diagnostic machine(s)... PLEASE HELP!!!
