A/C only works when on motion

Have radiator cooling fans checked for proper operation .. They MUST turn on while vehicle is at a stop with A/C on.. Otherwise the A/C compressor will turn off until air flow into engine bay is sufficient. While driving at highway speeds - fans are not needed - 'RAM AIR' is providing the necessary air flow for cooling.
