I had my transmission replaced and I'm told that my new transmission has a bad transmission pan I'm trying to figure out if the new one should have came with a new pan or not
Either way, the pan would come with the assembly. Not sure how a pan could be "bad". It merely acts to hold the fluid. And in many cases, transmissions are being made without "pans" -- your dealership should be able to weigh in, as I can't imagine why you would not be covered by warranty still.
Obviously the only reason a transmission pan needs to be replaced is it’s damaged beyond repair or it is missing altogether.. ‘IF’ the replacement transmission did not come with the pan on it already - The original transmission had a pan on it - why not use that one ?? IF the original pan is unusable - I would have to question this entire scenario ! In any event and to answer your question *YES* the transmission pan IS included with a transmission replacement!! I have NO idea what lies beneath - you’ll have to experience the results.. Good luck!
