Engine light turned off on its own Volkswagen Jetta 2012

Hello, my engine light was on a couple of weeks ago and I got it diagnosed as the Manifold Absolute Pressure code P0106. Every mechanic I went to, told me to go to the VW dealership to get it fixed. As we all know, dealerships cost an arm and a leg, so I was saving some money before going. I drove my car a couple of nights ago and noticed the engine light turned off on its own. I don't know what to do. What could've happened for the engine light to turn off on its own - was the problem resolved? Just need some advice on what my next steps should be. Thank you for your help!
