I have some sort of ground issue. 56 ohms of resistance in certain areas

What is your question?

I checked the resistance from the battery negative to a few ground posts and continuity was not there. Is the main ground wire going bad?

'IF' that were the case - it would result in NO BATTERY POWER to the vehicle what so ever.
