What is your question?
My car has an issue. It is overheating but not sure if it is thermostat or cooling system issue. Does not get hot when overheats. No leaking coolant. Water pump replaced 70K ago. Help please

Could you clarify the contradiction??? "does not get hot when overheats" Okay , so then please explain your definition of overheating and the symptoms occurring? OVER heat implies that the temp. is going OVER the normal range.................Help us ---help you ........?
Ok sorry yes i see the confusion. So the temp gauge states its overheating but when you go to look at it. Engine hood or car is not hot as i would expect it to be. Again i dont know much about this stuff. Looking for help. Single mother who hasnt had to deal with cars really before
SAFEST and most economical , based on your reply , is to get the car to a qualified mechanic to at least have them make sure the car is safe and that you are not going to blow up the engine. Do you know how to check coolant level (after car is shut off and cooled down-preferably over night)?
