Replace the tranmission and now it wont start

So I have a question on my 2001 jetta my transmission went out I replaced it but now it won't start and the battery light is on my brake light on and my epc light is on and it started before we put the new on in. And we don't know what it could be also the foot peddle light went off before I even put my foot on the brake?
