Cooler is replaceable and afterward, cooling system will need repeated flushing to remove as much oil as possible. The thick oil can impede cooling
Actually on the 4cyl A/T Jetta < 05, the cooler is located between the oil filter and oil filter flange and is easily replaced if internally mixing coolant/oil
Yep was asleep on that one, I think I was in the middle of the tropics.
