Compression check showed all 3 cylinders were 175 psi, cylinder 3 was 125.. best option and least cost
What makes this problem better or worse?

HIGHLY RECOMMEND additional testing to confirm suspicion - cylinder leak down test as well as adding teaspoon of oil to cylinder - then re-testing compression - noting change in reading. (125 psi should still fire the cylinder)
Adding oil to suspected cylinder will increase compression ‘IF’ there is a piston ring problem - ‘IF’ no change in reading - suspect VALVE not seating / sealing..
