Fix for the catastrophic HPFP TDI

What is your question?

Is there a fix for the chronic failure of the Bosch HPFP in VW diesels yet? My car is in for 'metal shards' through out. Has the HPFP been adapted to prevent another failure AFTER the fix? These VW have been re-released and I happened upon this serious issue (6 weeks after owning the dang thing) It goes into VW dealer TODAY for heavy duty fix.
