My whole dashbroad is lit up and there are no keys in the ignition and the car is locked

poss direct pwr not canceling when door is open and keys removed,have ignition ck'd
are there any aftermarket electronics like a stereo on the car? have seen short to power before cause this from bad install
The car should have the lights on, after the key is out of the ignition - until you reclose the door after exiting the vehicle.. Even the courtesy light will stay on for about 10 seconds..
