Does flushing the radiator and adding new fluid, helpnthe car heat better?

Doing a cooling system service is not just opening the petcock at the bottom of the radiator or disconnecting the lower rad hose and refilling it. The problem you are having is the temp inside the car when you turn on the heat. More info would be helpful. Is the check eng light on now?
