It could be a number of things between the headlight bulbs and the switch. One common problem is that one headlight bulb goes bad and the problem isn't noticed until the other side goes bad, so you may have two bad bulbs. If it is your high and low beams that are not working then it is more than likely going to be switch or wiring and you may need to get it checked out by a professional.
