2015 Toyota Venza XLE. The "hot spot" puts out enough heat to melt snow in a 12" diameter circle on the windshield. This happens when the car is off, parked. What component(s) under the dashboard, over the status display, could be remaining on even when the car is off and parked?

How long has your 2015 Toyota Venza had this problem?

Just noticed it a few weeks ago , but it could have been going on for much longer. Battery just drained yesterday for the 3rd time.

Have you actually confirmed the dash is that hot by laying your hand on it during cold weather?

After *being parked for several hours* in cold ambient temperature or after dark - is top of dash hot ?
