Another ‘possibility’ > small rodents love to make their home in the bottom portion of the air cleaner box - actually gnaw their way ‘through’ the air filter element - thus contaminating the throttle body and mass air flow sensor..
My point is these suggestions are something the DIYer should at least be aware of and do some investigation of their own.. Good luck!
