sometimes when you try to start the ttruck it will not start, you have to remove the key and bang on the ignition switch for it to start
What makes this problem better or worse?

Suspect problem lies elsewhere - banging on the ignition *lock cylinder* (the thing key go into) .. Isn't likely to be helping, would probably start if you just attempted it by turning key several times. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops
