When I start the truck with the fan on it idles rough-in for the first few minutes then goes away.
How long has your 2009 Toyota Tacoma had this problem?
I just got the truck. It sat for about a year and I had a full tune up.
Next time turn fan on before starting engine - is fan blower out of balance due to foreign debris - which finally gets re-positioned and smooths out? This imbalance can vibrate to the point it can be felt inside the cab - should be accompanied by roaring noise .. Vehicle “sat for around a year” plenty of time for mice to make a nest in HVAC. Online guess..
Additionally - usually the fan isn’t used until engine has warmed in cold weather - just wondering if this problem occurs each time engine is started.. Good luck!
