When I put coolant in the radiator, the check engine light went out, could there be another problem I should have checked?

Putting coolant is an easy fix, and for your vehicle the check engine light could come on because of the thermostat not working properly or because of a sensor that went out. We agree, don't wait for the check enghine light to come on again, bring it in to have it checked so you can be sure of what the source of the problem is.
IF you needed to add coolant to the radiator, and along with that, most likely needed to fill the 'overflow reservoir ' to the proper level, you may want to have the vehicles cooling system 'pressure tested' for leaks. DON'T wait for the check engine light to come on again, by then it may be too late.
