You did not mention which engine you have; On the 4 cylinder engine, access the starter by removing the air intake inlet and bracket. On the V6, you remove the battery and tray as well as the air cleaner assembly to access it. Professional guidance should be employed for service and repair of the starter motor.

Usually found bolted onto rear portion of engine / front portion of transmission.
