Your reply sounds easy. If only I could get Toyota to order the correct part, but they say it doesn't exist. Two Toyota dealers Parts department (Fort Worth, TX and Weatherford, TX) both stated Toyota does not make the engine oil dipstick anymore for my year, make, model they ran my vin. However, they are thinking perhaps the 2006 Solara that has the same motor may work but who knows if the mounting position is the same. 1530128041 - Pulled this part number up on the web, resulting in 'does not fit'.

Did you ever find what the workaround is because there isn't a correct fit for the 2004 Toyota Solara regardless what Pinhead says above

I I ordered the engine oil dipstick from O'Reilly's and From another auto parts store both are selling the Gorman engine oil dipsticks Gorman needs to update and eliminate the 2004 Toyota Solara as a fit. There's nothing out there I don't even see a workaround so off to the salvage yards
