What is your question?
The Toyota dealer determined that the catalytic converter was bad. We took the truck to the dealer when the check engine light and VSC and VSC TRAC lights came on and stayed on and the dealer analyzed the engine. The dealer said it would cost $2400 to repair. Given the age and value of the vehicle such a repair doesn't seem to make sense. We were wondering if the emission warranty on the vehicle should cover the cost. If not, is there any option to this problem that is less expensive? Thanks so much.
How long has your 2003 Toyota Sequoia had this problem?
A month.

Recommend having 'local independent' auto repair facility perform full scan test - if testing concurs with dealers diagnosis - get a repair estimate from that shop. (Emissions warranty has expired)
Also should get estimates from auto muffler shop - can likely save even more money. Bottom line is vehicle doesn’t have to be repaired by the dealer!
