Prior to changing the coil packs and plugs it ran fine but check engine light was on AutoZone said coil pack are bad replace them all with plugs and now the battery lights on and keep dying what could be the problem

sounds like your alternator has quit charging. There is no way Autozone can tell you that a coil is bad, they don't have the proper testing equipment to do that. All they can do is read a code and punch that code in their computer and it brings up a list of probable causes, and it could be a bad coil(COP),but it could also be other problems.NO way all 8 coils are bad at one time, but they did their job, because their job is to sell parts. have your charging system tested, and make sure whoever did the work hooked everything back up that was disconnected.
Go back over your work - it's just too coincidental that the alternator quit charging immediately after installing coils & plugs - look for damaged / disconnected wiring.
Thank you for your input I bought the coil packs at amazon.com I paid $65 for a set of eight instead of $98 a piece from AutoZone are you comfortable buying coil packs of that price
Thank you for your response I bought the coil pack amazon.com for $65 for an eight pack AutoZone was $98 a piece are you comfortable buying Amazon at that price and do you have any feedback on the product from Amazon
yes, that's a good price on them if they are DENSO 6731303 OEM COP's. RockAuto.com has the DENSO 6731303 OEM COP's for $53.79 ea plus $7.89 shipping,2-3 business day,for a total of $438.21 no tax. even though amazon was almost 100 bucks more than RockAuto,it still beats AZ's LARGE MARK UP PRICE of $86.99 plus tax..
I love Amazon! only good things for Amazon because I have the Prime and they will deliver whatever I order in 2 days(free shipping),even if it falls on a Sunday.Right now USPS gets paid by Amazon to deliver on Sunday, but the more I read about them, soon they will have their own delivery service. If everyone had a crystal ball, lots of folks would have made a ton of money from buying their stock because a little over a year ago it was around $800.00 per share, today it closed out lower than it has been because of a dummy's mouth, but still @ $1493.45 per share even though the DOW dropped 420.22 points! anyways,as pushrod stated, check behind the work that was done, see if anything is disconnected/broken to cause your battery light to come on.good luck....
