What is your question?
Had my oil changed at a Toyota dealership and they forgot to put the drain plug back. Drove 21 miles before lights came on and engine shut off, seizing. What else can a blown engine affect? Transmission, bearings, coolant system? Not trusting this dealership so far, situation has been handled very poorly and I do not have another mechanic with Prius knowledge to give a second opinion.

Hello, Lexus master mechanics are trained in Toyota hybrid systems as well. You really should not have issues with anything else as a result of the engine seizing. The dealership should cover 100% of this, and give you something to drive in the mean time. I would not pay for the oil change, either, since it was not performed correctly. Pretty neat that your prius gets a fresh start!! that sounds more like Jiffy Lube than the Dealer.MAKE them give you a vehicle to drive the entire time plus i assume a tow bill,do miss a thing.? sorry to hear about your car,and the person that left that plug out,you may not see him there any more.i liked the thingy on 60 minutes where folks were paying a lot of money to have things done to their vehicles, but they only got charged for the work, but no work was done PERIOD..a few folks reported this to the same news station,so they went to work on this story a little while back>>A NEWS STATION MOUNTED HIDDEN CAMERAS UNDER ONE OF THEIR VEHICLES,TOLD THEM to do the work that Jiffy Lube said had to be done..Oh,they got a hefty bill for the work that WAS NOT DONE,NOTHING,PERIOD. cameras don't lie,not even one time! the people that was suppose to do the work told the reporters ON CAMERA,that their DM told them to do this to folks and that it was passed down from Corp. to do so!!! good luck with your Prius!
