What is your question?
I was driving my 2005 Prius last night wth engine running smoothly and suddenly the car did some tugging/ jerking, not on a hill. I stop driving, and engine ran smoothly. In fact showing getting avg 47 mpg. Drove on, tugging started again. This morning it started fine, drove fine for 10 miles, avg 45-47 mpg consumption, then tugging jerking started up again. This tankful of gas actually has a bottle of injector cleaner added a few days ago and still a quarter tank of gas so highly unlikely crystals in gas - only 27 degrees outside. It was 3 degrees the other day and no problems at all. Is a motor mount going? How to know? Would transmission act up sporadically like that? Could dirt be in gas line and gum things up sporadically?
What makes this problem better or worse?
It’s better when engine is cold
How long has your 2005 Toyota Prius had this problem?
Since last evening.
Engine mounting related issue is a ‘mechanical’ failure which will remain the same each time vehicle is driven. Since this problem is intermittent - it is operating systems related.
