Ignition swap. Should I swap old transmitter to new ignition switch

I am changing the ignition switch and the housing on my 2005 Toyota Matrix XR.it has a transmitter around the ignition switch.i am installing a ignition switch and housing from a 2006 Toyota Matrix XR..should I swap the transmitter plugs .take off the one from the old ignition switch and put it on the new ignition switch or shoukd i just leave them how they came attached with ignition switch and transmitter
