2005 LC v8 electrical failure?

What is your question?

Say that while attempting to jump start my 05 v8 lc the terminals crossed and it went pop. Checked for blown fuses. which there were some that I replaced with the same type and nothing except the headlights, warning lights on the instrument panel and hazards work now. However, the vehicle will start and run but I have to use the shift release button to get it in gear. I've attempted to check all fuses and relays to the best my ability and can't find a problem. I drove it up to autozone to get a diagnostic test run and they are unable to get the machine to power up due to lack of anything electric working inside the vehicle except the warning lights. Any advice would be great. Thanks

CHECK FUSES WITH A TEST LIGHT ON EACH SIDE OF EVERY FUSE!! KEY ON.

HOW MANY FUSE PANELS DID YOU FIND? 1 UNDER HOOD ANOTHER UNDER DASH. MAY BE MORE CHECK OWNERS MANUAL.

there's one under the hood and one in each kick panel up front. I checked them all then re-checked them. Owners manual was the first thing I checked. Once I exhausted that I tried autozone which was a bust. Now I'm hoping someone who has had this problem and knows the answer comes through.

ME TOO! BUT YOU STATED "IT WENT POP" SURE SOUNDS LIKE A MAXI FUSE BLEW!! IF IT HAS THEM "BIG" FUSES UNDER THE HOOD. GOOD LUCK.

Sounds like a wiring diagram of power distribution circuits would be a good place to start. If you know you're not getting power to specific items , then knowing where the power is supposed to come from ,in order to test anything, is a must! Most likely , like wetry said , it's a 'maxi-fuse' or similar type fusible link wire under the hood that is your 'open circuit'. GENERALLY (I could be wrong) the under-hood fuse/relay box is what supplies the under-dash fuse/relay boxes. Use a voltmeter and check for power , Test lights can be deceiving.

Yeah I figured it out earlier with a little help from my friends. it was the fuse it that slim black box that's hooked directly up to the positive battery terminal. Popped it open soddered it back together and it all came back on. thanks for your efforts though fella's.

YEAH, YOU WELCOM FOR THE EFFORT SINCE IT WAS A FUSE AFTER ALL! BETTER REPLACE THAT FUSE!! SOLIDER DOESN'T HAVE AN AMPERAGE RATING.
