63,000 miles on my 2010 Highlander. When should I consider changing hoses/belts?

I drive a 1993 Toyota Corolla with just over a quarter million miles on it - original 'hoses' still on car! I'm not implying you should take that chance - however I do recommend having a *qualified mechanic* check the belts for signs of wear - hoses should also be checked but they aren't subjected to the same amount of physical demands as the belts. During routine engine services - ALL serviceable under hood items should be inspected.
It certainly doesn’t hurt anything to replace the belts and hoses at anytime they seem to need it - it is also certainly possible to waste money in the process - thus the need for a ‘seasoned’ mechanic that will know the difference.
