The oil service light comes every 5000 miles. How do I reset the maintenance light after a oil & filter change?

Turn the key on and push trip odometer button in until regular odometer reading is displayed .. Now turn key off .. Next push the button down again and while holding it there - turn the key on and watch odometer reading display - - - - - - then it will quickly count down to 000000 .. Maintenance reminder light is now reset .. Let go of button and turn key off. (Do not start the engine during this reset process or it will not work and will need to be repeated)!
