crossed. Had alternator repaired but it won't charge battery. Can still jump vehicle off. Have been told could be alternator fuse. Do you agree & if so, how do I change it?
How long has your 2002 Toyota Highlander had this problem?
A few weeks. Since it was jumped off wrong.

I'd say it's probably a bad alternator. Best bet is to jump it and drive to a parts store for a battery and alternator load test.Use this link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
IF the alternator fuse is all that was destroyed during this attempt of a ‘simple jump start’ - consider yourself lucky! Additionally - IF that 140 amp fuse has burned into - there should be multiple components not working as well. Not a diy repair - fuse box disassembly is required. Good luck!
Engine may stall if vehicle is driven without functioning alternator !!
