My daughter was driving car and person in another car pulled out to make left turn when she shouldnt have and daughter saud she hit breaks hard to get car to stop. Car wouldnt stop. Made revving noise like it was still trying to go faster even though she had break pedal pushed all the way. I know on some older models there was recall for this.

That problem was caused by the drivers floor mat coming in contact with the accelerator pedal causing unwanted vehicle acceleration .. The drivers floor mat was incorrectly installed or an aftermarket floor mat was in use... Sometimes the brake AND gas pedals can get pushed with shoe sole at same time .. Also - ANY foreign objects laying in drivers floor pan can cause the same thing.... You can bet it is not a problem with the vehicle!
I had the same problem with my 2016 toyota corolla. I was parking in my parking place and put my foot on brake when car Rev up and lunged forward and hit car in front of me. It was not the mats. It was the cars computer that caused it.
Was the computer *proven* to be at fault ? ... IF the answer is yes >> Exactly HOW was that accomplished ??
