What is your question?
I took my 2015 Toyota Corolla to a Toyota dealership (the one I bought my vehicle at) in October 2018 when the engine light came on. The following error codes came up: P043E, P043F, P4201, P4203, and P2419. A faulty canister was discovered and the charcoal canister was replaced as a goodwill warranty by the dealership as it was 2 months past my 3 year warranty. I had about 52,000 KM at the time of the repair. In October 2019 the engine light came on and I took my care to the private garage to be diagnosed. The same error codes came up. The mechanic inspected the vehicle and thought it was a canister issue. He suggested I take it back to the dealership to see if it was covered under warranty. I called the dealership and was told that the canister was no longer covered under warranty. My vehicle now has about73,300 KM on it. I am concerned that after another year and 22,000 KM I am needing to replace the canister for the second time in under 5 years. Is this normal?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing, I did replace the gas cap
How long has your 2015 Toyota Corolla had this problem?
Engine light first came on at the end of October
Just so you don’t have to go through all the trouble of replying here. Topping off fuel tank at any time is a mistake! I’ll just leave it at that - no use going into the details of what the results are. Good luck!
