What is your question?
I think its the variable resistor on heater motor so, where is it located? local toyota dealer havent any clue. Can just the resistor be replaced or is it a whole motor job? Again local dealer cant give me a costing for either, they want to do a diagnostic check and charge me accordingly first. (the cost would depend ???) their words (bandits)

I agree with you!! The resistor is the prime suspect and you can most likely find a YouTube video showing how to replace it... Good luck!!... It's not in the glove compartment... Behind that side of the dash though...on hvac case!... May need to remove lower dash trim panel...
I know my resister is in my glove compartment on back wall. Heater motor or you saying blower? that gets a charge from the blower relay that under the dash near the steering column where mine is but I don't own a Toyota.
10/4 thanks for info but still can,t find out if only the resistor can be replaced or the whole motor, tried local auto electrical shops but they say they can only get the motor by ordering from toyota and do not know if its just replacing the resistor without a strip down. And as usual the price is ??? Ever felt you are going in circles. ???
ebay has several of the resistors for sale!!!... Check it out...
