convert 3 speed mechanical driven transmission of a 02 corolla to a 4 speed tran

for a 02 corolla. if i want to convert a 3 speed mechanical transmission to a 4 speed electronic control transmission. what necessary step do i need to take? rewiring? ECU swap necessary? does dimension fit? FYI, I do have the factory service manual, electrical manual. but transmission section for rebuilding automatic is not included and require a different book. it does have the manual rebuild and basic service information for 3 speed and 4 speed.
