My sparkplugs were misfiring and it was causing my car to stutter and stall out. When I went to change out the spark plugs I noticed oil in them; mainly #4 spark plug, so I bought new ones. I cleaned it out real good and let the oil burn off with the old ones before installing the new ones. This fixed it for a week or so. How can I tell if its the valve gasket or the o rings that are causing the leak?

Have the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals changed. The oil is seeping in from these seals.
That's what I was thinking. I was told that if the oil was in the bottom though it could be the o rings. Should I just do this first to see if it fixes it?
if you had oil in the plug wells before, you will have oil in there again.check the wires on the ends for being mushy, from being in oil.take a shop rag, screwdriver and sop up the oil in the plug wells.don't remove the plugs until all oil is out of the plug wells.you must remove the valve cover, clean it up,remove the spark plug tube seals, they are leaking, also vc gasket.go to parts house, napa,az,adv and buy the valve cover gasket with the tube seals and grommets.clean both mating surfaces very good before replacing.see youtube video on how to,careful,it's aluminum.take your time and do it right,or it will leak again.replace wires if mushy on spark plug end. Yeah, I cleaned them out real good the first time. I do believe its the gasket cover and seals. I watched a few videos that are for the same make and model. I'll let you know how it runs after. Thanks!
