Why wont my car start ?

There are lots of reasons! .... Without hands-on testing by qualified personnel to prove what has failed there is no way to determine. .. Plus it will be impossible accurately to guess at it.

What is the definition of "turn over" compared to "crank"? To me, when the engine cranks, it cranks. Hopefully the engine "turns over" as a result of cranking. I'm not at all familiar with a time when the engine could possibly turn over without cranking. Help us understand what the vehicle is doing.
