What is your question?
I switched the ECU and the distributor and checked all the fuses and switched the relays. All the original stuff works on another car. Car has 100,000 miles on it. Was running and just shut off like with the key. What else is there to check or change?

1.6 or 1.8 engine size?
Sorry. It's a 1.6 I have had many of these 1.6 l engines. I only ever had distributor trouble with a couple of the others. That's what I would have bet was wrong with this one. It's not though. Thanks for any help. It has a new timing belt on it also. The timing belt is new but I'm going to check to make sure it'still on there and timed right. I have thought of the ignition switch. But the other cars had like 200,000 plus miles and they all had good ignition switches. The new belt has been on for 5,000 miles too. I might try an ignition switch any way. lol It's easy anyway.
Check that you have voltage coming from the Coil. I just had a similar issue, where it would start but as soon as the engine warmed up it would cut out. this was due to a worn out coil
I checked Everything. Replaced everything. Not the ignition switch, Car only had 100,000 miles on it. So I decided that the timing belt had to be broken. So I took the cap off and turned the engine. Not the new belt either. I replaced the distributor with one from a car that ran. I kept my original Brand New cap this whole time though. Being it was (Brand New) I never suspected it was the problem. It was. Just a bad Brand New distributor cap. Put the old one on and it took right off. New isn't nessacarily good any more I guess. I've had several New part in many months that were no better than the ones I took off. They give you another part sure enough. But, you eat the time it take to do the job twice. I buy better parts too. They too aren't always any good. Just wanted to say what the problem actually was.
