My 1993 corolla has through 5 0.25uf condensers since 17/3/2013. Any reason why?

Solved it by changing the brand from the Taiwanese Century to Superior American works beautifully now

Changed what? There is no part as you described, just a static suspressor mounted on the distributor that looks like a condenser. What part are you talking about? I own one just like this and would like to know!!
