Just had clutch fixed. now hard to shift from 1st to 2nd. other gears ok

What did they fix? Air in the lines will make it difficult to shift.

Did the hard shift from 1st to 2nd exist prior to the clutch repair or only after? If before and after and everything else checks out ok, it is possible the transmission itself could be worn out. Did they only replace the clutch kit or also the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder?
