Undid bolt on the end of pipe connecting fuel injectors and there is fuel there. Checked sending unit and seems fine but not hearing fuel pump turning on. Dont wanna drop the tank just to check until im more for certain that its the problem. Anyone know anything else a lil more labor and cost friendly to check first or any good simple ways to check the pump?

The fuel pump will NOT turn on by just turning the key on .. Engine must be CRANKING to send power to the pump .. The fuel pump is the LEAST LKIELY suspect .. Check the *timing belt* ... *Also testest ignition for proper fire/spark to the spark plugs*..... You 'can' use a wire to jumper terminals Fp to +B in the test connector under hood so fuel pump WILL run when the key is turned on .. Strongly suspect failed timing belt! .. You can not see the timing belt .. It is BEHIND the black plastic cover on front of engine .. Good luck!
Agreed that timing belt needs to be checked. But distributors also fail at this age.
