Burns out the distributor.

What is your question?

I have a 1987 Toyota Corolla and at 72000 miles the distributor went bad, had it replaced with a new distributor and last about 50 miles or less and burns it out, have replaced it 3 times now and same problem. What can cause this to keep happening ?
