I am replacing a timing belt and water pump in a 99 Celica GT with a 2.2 dual overhead cam wondering what the R&R time is in the books

if you are doing it in the yard and never done one, probably around 5 hours. if at the shop around 2.5-3 hours. just replaced mine on 98 Camry(same kit as your Celica) same engine.you can get the kit at RockAuto.com,>>DAYCO WP199K1A ,water pump, timing belt, camshaft belt idler, camshaft belt tensioner,2 tensioner springs,wp seal,wp gasket, complete instruction sheet.this kit is $58.79 plus $7.99 shipping, for a total of $66.78 plus sales tax(bout $70.00). where I live,Autozone will match the Rocks price, same kit(Dayco)(it's $113.99 plus tax at the ZONE,BOUT $120.00). all I have to do is print out the Rocks page/price,and the ZONE WILL MATCH IT(SAVED AROUND $50.00!!! I have been doing this for a while now.
Good idea to replace the camshaft oil seal and the front crankshaft oil seal while you're at it. Don't know your skill level.
Don’t get in a hurry .. Regardless of how long it should take .. Having to do it over will surely take more time! IF you’re doing this job for someone else and just want to charge flat rate - you should still make a few bucks - even if it takes a little longer. Good luck with - whatever your endeavor!
