Checked all sensors fuses cap rotor plug wires and plugs and think its the ignition coil am i right?

Well - the ignition coils do give a right smart of problems .. However it can be tested using a volt-ohm meter to be sure that the problem .. 'Sometimes' - having a helper crank engine - while you are observing the ignition coil - you may see the spark jump out to the side of the coil - that's reason enough to replace it. Figuring the engine has several miles on it - I recommend replacing the distributor *assembly*.. Good luck!
