My interior lights use to come on when you opened the door. They do not work now

very good,easy fix! somewhere down the road later,that's gonna happen again,but the switch will be in the correct position.BUT,it's going to be the door ajar/door jamb switch that is sticking or stuck,AND you can't see the switch,because it's made onto the door latch inside the door.most of the time when that happens,just spray the latch/switch with a good bit of wd-40.open and close the door/doors several times to free up the stuck switch.most of the time it's the drivers door that does it,because it's used more than the others.you may even be going down the road and the message will come on and DING like the door is open,but really not,just the switch not making all the way! i am very glad you asked this question,because some folks on here have taken their cars to the DEALER for this reason,and dealers are not CHEAP.some will tell them and some will say a switch was bad and charge you for the switch and an hour or 2 labor @ around $100.00 an hour.Happy Motor-IN!
