I just replaced the starter on my 2003 4 cylinder toyota camry. I had to take apart the air filter housing to replace it. After the repair the car will stall when it heats up at idle and will stall when coming to a stop when the engine is warm.
What is your question?
Can the problem be the Mass Air Flow sensor or the EGR Vacum Solenoid?
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 2003 Toyota Camry. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
Last night I checked the big intake hose and made sure everthing was tight and i could not see or hear any indication of a vacum leak. Could the problem be the idle control sensor, but I am uncertain if this car even has one.
no, it did not happen until i replaced the starter. The check engine light had been on but now it is off.
Recheck your work.. Make SURE you there are no leaks in the big air intake hose..
I will do that and let you know what happens. If that does not correct the problem could it be the Mass Air Flow sensor or the EGR Vacum Solenoid?
Not unless you messed them up!.. Don't start blaming other parts until you've checked over what you did to the car!!
