replaced rear brakes, and turned the drums . but now it feels like the front brakes are working better than the rear brakes. also the emergency brake doesn't seem to work as well as it should. car still moves when emergency brake is engaged. the rear brakes squeal when i first move the car in the morning and then sometimes during my trip.it seems like it was running better with the old brakes than with the new ones. had them checked twice with the mech. and he says that the are good. when you brake real hard you can feel the rear of the car rise up.would like to know why he can't figure it out. please help me with this problem.my wife has the car more than i do and i would like for it to stop when she wants it to stop

Sounds like the rear self adjusters need lubrication or replacement, http://www.napaonline.com/Search/MultiImagePopup.aspx?A=UBP3170_0198745460&An=599001+599999+102002+109999+50070+59999+2070002+2999999+12592 See the star shaped wheel on the brass colored part, Usually the mechanic will use a star wrench to adjust the brakes so there's a slight drag on the drum or by backing up and hitting the brakes hard to adjust them
