Fuel gauge slow to react

What is your question?

Today when i was filling up my 2000 toyota camry again, i noticed that the fuel gauge was very slow to react to the filled tank. it took almost a mile before the needle went to the full mark on the gauge. I purchased the vehicle used 3 weeks ago and this is only the second time i have filled the tank. Could this be some type of problem or is this normal for the 2000 camry 2.2L engine. please advise.
