Check the function of the charging system. Low electrical voltage can cause oddities with electrical components and warning lights. 4 cylinder or V-6? Do you have a DVOM? Does it change anything if you let it idle and turn on as many ‘loads’ as possible,-high beams, A/C on coldest/highest fan setting, rear defroster, all at the same time?
